WE HAVE MOVED. ONCE AGAIN.
The first time back in November 2008 was just around the corner. We went from the rather modest Bernard family home on Pittwater Road to more modern, spacious and pleasant premises on Albert Street. In those earliest days and when this website was first posted, Narrabeen Family Medical boasted just two doctors. But not for long. As more and more people in the area came to appreciate the kind of friendly but professional health care we provide, the practice steadily grew. The list to the left will give you an idea. This next move has seen Narrabeen Family Medical return to Pittwater Road, but across the bridge in North Narrabeen. We are now located at 1416 Pittwater Road, sharing a building with Petbarn, which, when you're coming from the north, is immediately after the Shell station. As before, we have upgraded in terms of space, facilities, services, convenience and parking. But we have also retained all those traditional attributes that helped make us the GPs of choice for so many discerning patients like yourself. For more information about why we've had to move, the new improvements, the old traditions and the best way to access us, please check out what's new.The fourth COVID-19 wave has begun. Although we have closed our COVID-19 Clinic, that doesn't mean you no longer have to worry about getting COVID jabs. As epidemiologists always predicted, new variants of COVID-19 with differing effects continue to emerge. And while approved vaccines appear to still offer strong protection against the most serious consequences, their ability to prevent infection wanes after three months. As a result, COVID-19 case numbers multiplied rapidly during the winter months around the world. That’s why it makes so much sense for you to get a second booster shot four months after your third vaccination. We must stress, we are not currently providing any booster vaccinations here. To learn more about the need for COVID-19 boosters and the closest clinics, just click Vaccination in NSW.The explosive case numbers accompanying the fourth wave also help explain why there is still a hand sanitiser at our front door. Spaced chairs inside and out. Plus the need to wear a mask indoors. And again we have reverted to face-to-face (or mask-to-mask) consultations. But while our consult rooms have reopened, we cannot see you if you've tested positive to any COVID-19 variant. In this case you should check out Managing COVID at Home. If you have a respiratory infection, and that includes the common cold, you can always call us for a teleheath consultation.Meanwhile, our services continue to reflect local family lifestyles.
